Challenge Your Students!
Bring economics to life in your classroom this Fall. Whether the market is up or down, students set the learning process in motion by actively selecting, analyzing, tracking, and trading stocks.
What?
The Stock Market Game is a 10-week investment simulation allowing players to make their own decisions about stocks and investing. Game participants can be individuals or teams consisting of up to five students. Each individual or team manages an imaginary $100,000 by investing in common stocks on the New york, American, and NASDAQ Stock Exchanges.
Teams trade stocks and access their portfolios through the internet. They use companies' ticker symbols to make trades and their portfolios are updated daily.
Who?
The Stock Market Game is appropriate for grades 4 through 12, college students, and any interested investor. Participants need no previous knowledge of the stock market and teachers/advisors often learn along with their students.
Weekly rankings allow teams to compare their performance with other students in Oregon. Team competition in various regions of Oregon is provided for the following age categories: grades 4-5, 6-8, 9-12, and teachers.
